Romans 12:5

... so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Father in Heaven-
Thank You for adopting me into Your spiritual family. The gifts You have given me are astounding: the family name, the family likeness, family privileges, and the family fortune. Being in Your family is the highest honor and greatest privilege I will ever receive. Nothing else comes close!

Our home is the classroom for practicing selfless, sacrificial, sympathetic love. There, we will train to become like Christ. In the learning lab we will grow up spiritually by fulfilling our family responsibilities to: love, encourage, and pray for one another; admonish, greet, and serve each other; teach, accept and honor one another; support, submit and forgive each other. Setting aside our pride and individualism, we will admit our need for one another. As we discover and develop our spiritual gifts, we will demonstrate them by being the hands and feet of Jesus to each other.

Please create an atmosphere in our home that is secure, comfortable, and loving. Give us confident assurance of our belonging. Show us our need for each other by binding us together in love for Your namesake. Amen.

How can you treat other believers like members of your own family?
